When i first got my versa used the keyhole cover was missing and two months later the door handle fell off.
Looks like the pin that holds the front part of the door handle snapped off somehow and the entire thing just came loose in my hand.

Replacement was not necessary and i feel that it was a waste of nissan resources the second time about one year later i reassembled it myself.
They replaced it under warranty.
To reinstall the door handle loosen the screw and the keyhole barrel can be taken out.

There should be a hole on the back side of the door with access to a torx screw.
