2006 Nissan Altima Key Fob Not Working

A key fob is a nice convenience but it s frustrating when the remote key won t unlock car door.

Fob won t work after battery relpaced. I read briefly somewhere that there are fuses associated with that mechanical piece. I am not able to unlock the car or pop the trunk. A dead key fob means you re locked out of the car which is the last thing anyone would want when in a hurry.

I have a 2006 nissan altima and both of my key fobs stopped working. In most cases it s the battery that has gone. I changed the battery in both but that did not seem to fix the problem. All nissan dealers are required to have the tester as a shop tool.

I had the same issues with my key fob nissan intelligent key as many others on this forum. Replace the horn itself located in front of the radiator that took care of my ame problem 7 years ago. To reprogram enter new id remote key fob keyless remote controller follow the steps. I searched the webs in and out for few weeks now.

I have a 2015 nissan altima 2 5 sv i did not know about this forum before until recently when i started out having issues with both my key fobs. On my 2006 nissan altima the key fob stopped working i can use key to get in and out but while driving the hazard lights periodically come on as well as the horn by them selves. Any ideas of what could be wrong. Today my second key fob also stopped working.

If this does not work have a nissan dealer check the key fob with their testing tool to determine if it is ok.
